The roles and tasks of a philosophical education are examined within the spheres of science, society, culture, economics, politics and the environment. Philosophy concludes the intellectual efforts by presenting these in the form of concentrated theories, which can be applied at any time by any one. To understand what an African philosophy of education is and why it’s so important, consider the role that universities should play in any society. Philosophy and education are reconstructive; they give to and take from each other in ebb and flow of thought and action; they are means to one another, and ends; they are process and product.
